NerdDinner - Features Beyond the Sample Chapter...

Jul 2, 2010 at 4:46 PM

Hi,

I have recently been throught the sample chapter for NerdDinner, so have a basic working site.

The download version has many bells & whistles, social features added and seems very advanced compared to the book version.

Are these documented so I can work through them or is it a case of reading through the code and trying to work it out from there.

Apologies in advance if I am missing a FAQ ... I'm new here!

Thank you

Sure, there's basically two versions. The main 1.0 download is the book version, and the "trunk" has the bells and whistles that are discussed in this Mix video talk: http://live.visitmix.com/MIX10/Sessions/FT07. Most of them are very compartmentalized (RSS, OData, etc) and can be ignored.

If there is too much to handle, try out the simpler MVC Music Store sample at http://www.asp.net/mvc

The link seems dead( http://live.visitmix.com/MIX10/Sessions/FT07.) Is there anywhere I can get this video so I can watch it?

Thanks
