This is a zip containing the source for the NerdDinner application, updated to ASP.NET MVC 2 and Visual Studio 2010. In addition to updating the application to leverage ASP.NET MVC 2 (e.g. Model validation), this includes the social sharing features and use of OpenAuth for login. You can see this in action http://nerddinner.com/

First of all; thanks for the application and tutorial, they are both great. However an updated documentation is really needed, furthermore it would be nice to be able to select sql server databases and not express, for those of us that would like to upload nerddinner to commercial webhotel provider, which dont support express.

Nerddinner is always my favourite MVC sample and point of reference. A very belated "Thank you" to Scott and folks. I've uploaded my take on MVC2 -- icomplain on codeplex to be another MVC2 sample app. It can be found at icomplain.codeplex.com. It covers some more practicalities. I hope it can bring some value to the MVC 2 tutorial.

I started learning ASP.NET MVC using Scott Guthrie's sample chapter. I am now finishing my first MVC website. I lost the book and today I need a small thing from it so I came here to download it again. Good opportunity to say thank you to Scott.
Thank you Scott!

Senf - post questions on the MVC forum http://forums.asp.net/1146.aspx
You should right click the zip file\properties then select unblock. After unzipping, chmod +W (remove Read Only bit)

Got this running on project add, VS 2010, Windows 7 32bit. I would like to see a more complex example developed for more advanced projects utilizing a more extensive model, vs, just two tables. Overall, a good starter example for teh no0bs.

I can't get the database connectivity to work. Very frustrating. A waste of time.
